Ontario O.Reg 424/97 does not require exterior CVOR number or company-name display. Carry the CVOR certificate in the cab. Company-name and unit lettering remain useful for professional fleet identification.
What size lettering for a delivery van?
Ontario has no CVOR exterior letter-height rule in O.Reg 424/97. We size van lettering for readability and vehicle proportions. US-bound USDOT markings should follow FMCSA 49 CFR 390.21.
Do Sprinter vans need CVOR lettering?
It depends on your registration. If your Sprinter is registered under a CVOR certificate (typically for commercial use, for-hire transport, or vehicles plated over 4,500 kg), yes. Personal use Sprinters do not need CVOR markings.
