Frequently Asked Questions
Yes. O.Reg 413/05 under the Ontario Highway Traffic Act requires the registered gross vehicle weight to be displayed on the right side of commercial vehicles over 4,500 kg GVW. The marking must show the weight in kilograms in numbers at least 25 mm (1 inch) high, positioned near the rear of the vehicle. Operating without it can result in a roadside detention order.
